Add an Indoor Waterfall to Your Home for a Sophisticated Touch

Channel surfing usually leaves my bored and frustrated that there is never anything on TV, but one home channel caught my eye showing extravagant home interiors. One single woman had a beautiful home with natural materials used to make her home more like the outside. One ceiling had certain sticks aligned that were so unique and cool looking. She had an indoor fountain surrounded with rocks. The outside also had a water feature creek bed running down the length of the front yard. It was amazing. I’ve since become addicted to watching this channel and have seen many extraordinary things built inside people’s homes, but my favorite is when they have an indoor waterfall somewhere in their house. One dining room had an indoor waterfall wall surrounding the marble surrounded fireplace. The marble was jet black and it added a look of sophistication to the room. Some nights I find it hard to fall asleep as the ideas shown on this home décor channel make my creative juices flowing on what could be done to my home.

Training my dogs has never been a problem for me, but my friend’s dog is a huge nuisance. When you come into her house the dog jumps up on you and it is not a small dog. It is a very large boxer that is constantly drooling. It climbs on her furniture, ignores basically all commands and nips at children in the neighborhood. As gas prices continue to rise for the summer season each of us might want to improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles. There are many tips to save fuel and I have found out that keeping my Frederick car maintenance up has shown the largest benefit to saving gas. Checking the tire pressure and air filter regularly and getting tune ups and a Frederick oil change keeps my car running optimally. They even have a oil change coupon online, so I can save there also. Purchasing your fuel earlier or later in the day when the temperature is lower reduces gas evaporation. I have two fuel loyalty cards that save me 2-3 cents a gallon and my Albertson’s preferred card adds up points as I shop for groceries and gas and when I reach a certain amount it gives me 10 cents off a gallon. You can save on gas prices by comparing gas stations for the best price. At Gasbuddy.com you can enter your zip code and it will list all the gas stations in your area and how much they are charging for gas.
Other common sense tips for saving gas are driving less, not speeding, accelerating and braking slower and using cruise control. Removing excess weight out of your trunk can also save a few cents a gallon. Driving less and walking more also saves. Parking in the first spot you find instead of driving around looking for a closer parking space saves and burns a few calories. During the higher gas price season we all can make a few adjustments and save fuel and money.

Anyone that has lived in Texas and come across a fire ant knows how important it is exterminate these nasty little ants from their yards. To those that have not had the experience of being stung by these tiny brown nuisances and are moving or traveling to the South, beware. Wearing sandals can be a problem because of the painful sting they can inflict. If you show allergic reactions to mosquitoes or bees, you may have a reaction to these stings as well. Be Prepared for Your Dog’s New Arrival
Before adding a new member to your family, a dog or puppy, you should make certain preparations. Anywhere the family is, your dog will want to be. When training your dog, use healthy dog treats as repetitive treat feeding will be necessary to teach your dog tricks, commands and even their name. Dog jerky can be a healthy snack that can also be a teether and chew toy. Before you bring a new puppy or dog, be certain your home is ready and you have all that they need to be a happy new addition to your family.
