File for Your Trademark, Don’t “Borrow”

Businesses all over the world have “borrowed” aspects of big brand trademarks to catch the public’s eye and improve their business numbers. Some see a significant increase in patronage or purchases but then run the risk of being sued. Even if the trademark logo is a different color it can still be considered an infringement. There are though, possibilities with retaining a more recognizable US trade mark by filing for a trademark of a newly bankrupt company. You will need to be sure you get a professional to perform a trademark check and then file all the legal forms needed to secure the trademark you are wanting. To increase your sales don’t adopt aspects that too closely resemble another’s trademark or logo, but use the advantage of expired trademarks that are better known than your own.
