Many are coming to find that using an emergency text message service is a very effective tool in an emergency situation. One of the most important things that can be done in an emergency situation is to quickly alert the masses about the emergency.

It may be necessary to warn others of impending dangers as a result of the emergency. Or maybe you need to gather as many volunteers as you can very quickly. Whatever the exact need may be, the ability to quickly and effectively share information with large masses of people is extremely important. And there’s no better way than use to emergency text messages.

Why Use an Emergency Text Message?

An emergency text message is probably the most effective way to get the word out during an emergency, or any event for that matter. That vast majority of today’s population have a cell phone. And of those that have cell phones, most people have it with them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And being the almost all cell phones now have the ability to send and receive text messages, it’s a sure-fire way to get information to the people you want.

Aside the from the fact that text messages during an emergency are almost guaranteed to be read by the receiver, it’s also an extremely fast way to spread the word. With the click of a button, thousands of text messages can be sent instantly. And unlike other forms of communication, the message is in their hands in a manner of seconds. Emails are often ignored until the receiver chooses to check all their email. And phone calls simply take too much time and effort. An emergency text message, on the other hand, is sent, received, and usually read within minutes or even seconds.

So if your organization could benefit from the use of emergency text messages, contact Txtwire today. Txtwire is a premier mass text messaging service that can quickly get you set up, whatever your needs are.

We no longer need to stare at the multi colored TV screen and hear the annoying, almost endless, “Beeeeeeeeeeeep” of the emergency broadcast system. In times of emergencies we can now rely on our cell phones to send emergency notification texts to many more individuals. During the day most of us are at work, school, or out running errands that we would not receive the TV alert of an emergency anyway. Radio is not listened to as much as ipods are our favored music source. People carry their cell phones with them everywhere and this is the ideal form of reaching the most people in the shortest amount of time. Many schools have already adopted convenient mobile text alerts systems to keep parents and students informed and even restaurants are joining in with specials or mobile coupons. I received a text with a coupon that stated that if I showed the text I could get a meal deal for $2 during low peak hours. This may not seem like an emergency, but when it comes to my stomach these notifications are very welcomed.
