Vision Training for the Extensive Computer User

The ability to focus is controlled by muscles inside your eyes. When we sit for long periods of time working or reading in front of a computer day after day, the muscles used for looking farther away will become weaker. The constant strain of looking at the computer screen for hours can fatigue your eyes, but there are ways to improve vision naturally. Glasses will help you see better, but usually your eyesight will continue to deteriorate. That is why you need to go to the optometrist yearly. As you get older, going through school and then to work, improving your eyesight becomes more and more important to you. There is a solution to improve your eyesight and poor vision problems.

Daily vision exercises can be simple and not very time consuming, but they can help improve your vision when looking both near and far away.

An example of an easy vision exercise is to look at something close by and then to focus on something far away. Another eye exercise is to close your eyes and imagine that you are looking at something in the distance. Then rotate your eyes in circles to the left about ten times. Stop and then rotate to the right ten times. Repeat until your eyes feel stretched and not as fatigued. Just like any exercise, you will need to repeat and continue to do the exercises. The position of your computer screen is also important. Be sure to have is slightly below your line of vision. Posture is also important. When experiencing computer vision fatigue remember that just like the rest of your body, it is controlled by muscles and when you train your eyes with exercises, they will become stronger.
